GDPR Launch Event: NAID will hold an event
in Europe in May to mark the effective date of
the GDPR. The event will feature policymakers,
industry professionals, and NAID management,
who will explain both the amazing opportunities
and significant new risks resulting from the
new regulation. NAID will also unveil a number
of new educational and sales tools specifically
created to help members pursue opportunities
represented by the GDPR.
and Promotional Projects
The NAID Board of Directors and staff are
currently at work on a long list of administrative,
infrastructure and promotion tools. That plan
will be published in an upcoming issue of
Some of the more high profile projects
include a new association website, a new NAID
Certification video, a new video explaining
to members and their clients the benefits
of the NAID-endorsed professional liability
product Downstream Data Coverage, and the
incorporation of solid-state device erasure
into NAID AAA Certification of Sanitization
Of any constructive criticism NAID may have
received over the years, no one has ever
suggested that it rests on its laurels. The NAID
Board of Directors and NAID staff understand
that the association has a responsibility to work
as hard as its members do for their success.
Both the Board and staff understand that
NAID’s success is not measured by its revenue
or member count, but by how well it helps
its members meet their goals. Ironically, that
attitude is exactly why it has been so successful.
