Dow Chemical and DuPont
This $130 billion merger, which took place over the span of 2015-2017 was executed with hopes of strengthening the
agriculture, material science, and specialty products industry.
Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller
Brewers, unite! This merger took place between the two largest brewers in the world, Anheuser-Busch InBev and
SABMiller. This 2016 merger was worth $104.3 billion and combined the two brands to bring them into fast growing
markets and create new products.
H J Heinz and Kraft Foods
Two food powerhouses, this merger was created as a goal of creating the fifth largest food and drink company in
the world. This merger took place in 2015, where the combined entity was newly named The Kraft Heinz Company.
Exxon and Mobil
When you think of oil, these two names most likely come to mind. This is one of the older mergers we have listed,
taking place in late 1999. After the Federal Trade Commission approved the $81 billion merger, these two companies
underwent extensive restructuring, and are continuing success to this day.
NAID and PRISM International
This summer NAID merged with PRISM International to form the new industry trade association International
Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA). The merger combines the companies’
resources to yield a wider range of information management and data protection offerings and services from
a single industry association. This new merger offers exciting opportunities for the two organizations, and the
industry as a whole!
